5 out of 5 stars An essential text   February 2, 2007

As a politics student, I've found this indispensable when writing essays on Political Theory. Providing clear introductions to the major thoughts and works of some of the most prominent Western Philosophers from Ancient Greece to the 20th Century, this book is simply a must-have for those of us who don't have the time to trawl through the complete works of Plato or Hobbes when we have an essay due in the next day.

This is a comprehensive and well written book. An essential book for anyone studying Political Thought, or a good investment for those with an interest in the subject.
